What a day! First off, St. George out does itself with hospitality and excitement for this race. Everyone was polite and friendly.
I'm a really slow racer but proud of my accomplishments. My swim was great albeit, a cold one. The water took away my breath, and it took 200 m or so to find my rhythm. The transition was a long one. The bike was hard but the roads and scenery perfect. I need to learn how to be braver on the downhills. I was happy with my run. Ran the whole thing except aid stations, which was my goal. I would say seeing people walk their bikes on the final scent and walking all the uphill portions on the run make me proud of my accomplishments. I might just do the full next year. #nuts
