I was born and raised in Chile and moved to the US on 2008. I got into cycling on 2014 and joined social rides until I found myself bored and wanting to take the next step. I joined a cycling group and after a while, I got bored again. This is when I met someone who introduced me to racing. That’s what I was looking for! I took the challenge to train hard and consistently to keep up with the fast groups in Miami. I reached that level after some hard work and dedication and I was ready to be sponsored by a local bike shop. One day, racing with the “don pan” group in Key Biscayne, I crashed at 37mph and thankfully I didn’t break anything and my bike was okay, but I couldn’t use my left arm for like a month. I lost all the progress in cycling and almost lost my job due to this injury. I came back to cycling after a while but personal issues and responsibilities pushed me away from getting back to that level. I was frustrated, disappointed and thought cycling was over for me. But it wasn’t! I started training like before and plan on get my mojo back! I’m good at logging trainings and share them in social network. Plus, I’m a registered nurse that’s growing as an account executive at a medical technology company and persuasion and delivering the right message to my clients is one of key attributes to become a good sales person.
I’m happily married, have a dog, I’m learning to play electric guitar and learning French. I’m fluent in English and Spanish.
I have more Castelli apparel than any other brand. I have 2 pairs of Castelli Volo with their matching Meta Jerseys that I used in the weekends (More audience and need to look sharp!) plus a bunch of Castelli jerseys.
Hopefully, this is what you were looking for. If not, just ask =)
Thanks for the opportunity and look forward to hearing from you! I won’t disappoint you ;)
