I got into cycling as a way to become active because I was overweight with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, plantar fasciitis, reflux, diverticulitis, and anxiety.

I rode to save my life and so I could be more active with my 4 kids.

Through cycling I’ve been able to bring all my vitals within their proper range, anxiety has reduced considerably, and my reflux has become manageable through diet.

Once I was “in-shape” I was able to start working on “fitness” which lead me to start Crit Racing at the age of 41.

I have my influence and story to encourage my community to not settle for all the health problems that come with getting older and that we do not have to settle for “norms”! My wife also became a cyclist 18 months after I started!
